{"id":5784,"date":"2022-04-13T15:26:45","date_gmt":"2022-04-13T12:26:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bestshopskopelos.gr\/2022\/04\/13\/helpful-tips-for-correctly-roasting-the-easter-lamb\/"},"modified":"2022-11-16T17:54:45","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T14:54:45","slug":"helpful-tips-for-correctly-roasting-the-easter-lamb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bestshopskopelos.gr\/en\/2022\/04\/13\/helpful-tips-for-correctly-roasting-the-easter-lamb\/","title":{"rendered":"HELPFUL TIPS FOR CORRECTLY ROASTING THE EASTER LAMB"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"alignfull has-text-align-center has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\">           INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECTLY ROASTING THE EASTER LAMB         <\/h1>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>Easter in Greece<\/strong> <strong>without roasted lamb?<\/strong> <strong>Not possible!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">We all look forward to Easter Sunday when we can devour the skewered lamb <strong>(spit roasted).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">However, the <strong>perfect roast<\/strong> is of high importance so that the Easter Sunday meal is tender and worth the patience of the fasting period.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">So, be the king of spit and amaze your friends!<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\"><strong data-rich-text-format-boundary=\"true\">Instructions for Roasting the Lamb<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">We choose a domestic (Greek) lamb or goat weighting about 11-12 kilos.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>We need a <a href=\"https:\/\/bestshopskopelos.gr\/en\/product\/set-of-foldup-turnspit-04-04\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">spit<\/span><\/a>, a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/bestshopskopelos.gr\/en\/product\/grill-drawer-type\/\">barbeque<\/a><\/span>, charcoals, wire and a pair of<a href=\"https:\/\/bestshopskopelos.gr\/en\/product\/pincers-ff-group-160mm-27710\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> pliers<\/span><\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\"><strong>1st Step<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">We thread the lamb or goat through the spit, starting from the back side until it comes out of the mouth Then we secure the back side with a fork on the meat of the lamp\u2019s rump. Be careful! On the upper side, do not pierce the head or you will lose the best morsel!<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\"><strong>2nd Step<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">At this stage, we will need some wire and a pair of pliers We thread a piece of wire through the backbone and one more through its neck where we must place a piece of wood outside, no bigger than 10 cm so that we can tie it. Afterwards, we cross the back legs above the spit and we tie the spit with wire.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\"><strong>3rd Step<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">We put salt and pepper inside the lamb as well as on its neck, optionally some lemon and onion and then we sew it with a needle and thick cotton thread.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\"><strong>4th Step<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">We place the caul fat on the back of the lamb \u2013 we secure it with wire or toothpick.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size\">The lamb is ready to be roasted!<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Do not forget that <strong>fire<\/strong> plays an important role while roasting as well as for the final results.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Initially, we ready the charcoal and place the lamb high up. The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/bestshopskopelos.gr\/en\/product\/heavy-duty-rotisserie-motor-for-lamb\/\">automatic mechanism<\/a><\/span> needs to be in high speed so as the lamb will not get burnt. Afterwards, we just follow the rhythm of fire.
